Mahakala Center is made up of three main buildings, the Retreat Building with Rooms, Apartment Building, and Stone House, set on a hillside among olive trees, gardens, village homes, and the gentle sounds of daily life.
Mahakala Rooms
The Mahakala Retreat Building is a three-floor house with seven private rooms and shared spaces. The ground floor includes two bedrooms and a shared living and dining area opening onto the jasmine-covered terrace. The first floor has two bedrooms and the yoga shala, the second floor three bedrooms, and the top floor a rooftop jacuzzi with open views. Sunny Café, attached to the building, offers simple vegetarian meals, homemade treats, coffee, and herbal teas, depending on the season.

Our basic room is shared by 2 people and has its own private bathroom and two single beds. No balcony or sea view as it is on the base floor; the window faces the street.

R3 - Double or Twin Room with Sea View
Our sea-view room comes with a tranquil sea view, private bathroom, access to the yoga terrace and a comfortable double bed or two single beds.

Our favorite private sea-view room comes with a private balcony with tranquil sea and mountain views, private bathroom and a comfortable double bed or two single beds.
R6 - Double or Twin Room with Balcony
Our private mountain-view room has gorgeous views of the mountains and from the private balcony you can also see the sea. Private bathroom and a comfortable two single beds.
R7 - Quadruple Room with Sea View
Stone House
On the other side of the property is our parking area. Past it, a small path leads down to our Montenegrin stone house. The upper level around it is our relaxing area, an outdoor space with wooden loungers, a hammock chair, natural shade, and open sky. It feels like entering a quiet environment shaped by nature, light, and the gentle rhythm of village life. At the far end of the relaxing area is our small garden, where we grow vegetables and herbs used in our kitchen.

Private Apartments
Mahakala Apartment Building Directly across from the retreat house sits a four floor building that hosts our private apartments. The ground floor is our main production kitchen and the office. Above it are three private apartments, one on each floor. These apartments are fully private, each with its own design, kitchen, bathroom, and large terrace with a view of the sea and the mountains.
A2- One-Bedroom Apartment with Sea View and Terrace
Our private haven has a large balcony with a sea-view, bedroom, bathroom and kitchen .The apartment has a bedroom with a king size bed as well as a double sleep sofa in the living space.
A3 - Deluxe One-Bedroom Apartment with Ocean View
Our private sanctuary has a beautiful balcony with a view of the sea, a living space, with a kitchen, a comfortable double bed and a fireplace. The private bathroom comes with a beautiful bathtub.
A4 - Studio Apartment with Sea View
Our private Seaview apartment has a gorgeous sea-view balcony, a private bathroom, a small kitchen area, and two doubled beds (can fit up to 2-4 people).
Amenities & Guest Access
All guests may enjoy the outdoor relaxation area year-round. Sunny Café is open seasonally, offering coffee, tea, juices, and homemade treats. A vegetarian brunch is available year-round for €10.
In the summer season (21 June – 12 September): Morning yoga classes are offered for €10, and the yoga shala is also open for individual use outside class times, free of charge. Guests may freely use shared indoor spaces in the Retreat Building, including the living room, dining area, and jasmine-covered terrace. The rooftop jacuzzi, sauna, and spa services are available for an additional fee and must be booked in advance.
Outside the summer season: the Retreat Building may be reserved for private retreat groups. When a retreat is taking place, indoor shared spaces in this building are private to the group. Spa & Cafe also limited.
Other things to note:
- Mahakala Center is located in a real Montenegrin village. You may occasionally hear neighbors, dogs, or everyday village activity.
- The beach is a 10 to 15 minute walk downhill.
- In July and August the area becomes more lively and busier. If you prefer a quieter stay, consider visiting outside the high season.
- Parking is available on our property for an additional fee of 5 euros per day. Please let us know in advance if you need a parking spot so we can reserve it for you.
- The tourist tax of 1 euro per person per day is not included in the booking price and will be charged separately upon arrival.
- In case of cancellation, 50% of the total booking amount will be charged as a cancellation fee. We recommend arranging travel insurance to cover any unforeseen changes.
